FAQ
Frequently asked questions
When installed correctly and maintained properly, epoxy floors can last 10–20 years or more. Commercial and industrial systems often outlast the slab itself thanks to their chemical and abrasion resistance.
Most residential and small commercial floors take 2–4 days, depending on size, system type, and conditions. Larger or multi-coat systems may take longer due to cure times and environmental factors.
Yes — as long as the concrete is structurally sound and properly prepared. We diamond grind every floor to remove contaminants and ensure a strong mechanical bond before applying any coatings.
Flake epoxy floors include a decorative vinyl flake layer that adds texture, slip resistance, and visual appeal — ideal for garages and showrooms. Solid colour epoxy offers a sleek, uniform finish better suited to industrial or commercial areas where durability and cleanliness are key. If your substrate is damaged or uneven, We recommend a flake finish as it will hide imperfections while a solid colour will highlight them.
Not when the correct system is used and installed correctly. We can adjust slip resistance levels (R9–R13) (P1-P5) to suit the environment — from smooth showroom floors that are easy to clean to heavy-duty, anti-slip finishes for wet or industrial areas where grip is a priority.
Dependent on the sealer chosen, As a general rule, Epoxy is not UV stable. We use UV-stable polyurethane or Polyaspartic topcoats over all decorative and exposed epoxy systems. This prevents yellowing, chalking, and gloss loss caused by direct sunlight.
Prices vary depending on system type, preparation required, and total area, but most projects range between $50–$120 per square meter.
Competence and skill also dictate final cost, with many cheap installers being unqualified or lacking real world experience.
